Job Opportunity

Strive is currently seeking dedicated individuals to join our progressive non profit organization as a Community Support Worker.

This crucial role involves providing support to individuals at our Footprints Day Program in North Vancouver.

Our program integrates community based and home based activities focusing on social, recreational, vocational, daily living skills, skill development and leisure recreation activities in a supportive and enriching environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with individuals dealing with developmental, physical disabilities, mental health challenges and behaviors. 
  • Create and implement meaningful routines that contribute to individual growth. 
  • Foster independence while avoiding dependence, ensuring a balanced approach
  • Follow health care plans to address specific needs
  • Complete detailed daily documentation to track progress
  • Implement personal protocols, schedules and activities tailored to individual requirements
  • Promote community integration and teach essential life skills

Qualifications and Requirements

Possess a Class 4 or 5 BC Driver’s License (preferred) with a clean driver’s abstract
Minimum of 1-year experience in a relevant field

Successfully complete a Criminal Record Check

Provide evidence of a negative TB test

Possess First Aid and CPR certifications

Hold a Mandt Certificate

Possess a Food Safe Certificate

Job Type: Casual/on-call
Start Date: ASAP
Compensation: $25.05/hour

Certain benefits have eligibility requirements including surpassing three months and securing a regular position of 20hrs/week or more. Criteria may change at Strive’s discretion.
