Currently seeking dedicated professionals, the Centre invites applications for the position of Full-Time Mental Health Clinicians/Social Workers to join their dynamic team.
Under the guidance of the program manager, Mental Health Clinicians/Social Workers at LCC will play a crucial role in assuming direct clinical responsibility for assigned cases.
This includes case coordination, consultation and delivering direct services to children, youth and families.
Additionally, clinicians will contribute to program development and evaluation, establish effective linkages with community service providers and act as a resource and support for clinical teams.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
Provide direct counseling services to children, youth and families in their home, school, and community settings.
Utilize assessments to offer recommendations and education on treatment modalities to youth, families, staff and community collaterals.
Maintain clinical records, assessments, and reports according to agency and program policies.
Facilitate group work for children, youth and families when necessary.
Provide clinical consultation to community schools and other programs involving clients.
Liaise and support referrals with community agencies on behalf of the child/youth and family.
Participate in intake/screening and ongoing case planning for children/youth referred to various programs.
Collaborate and engage in peer support with the Complex Needs Occupational Therapist.
Contribute to the development, implementation, and evaluation of the Intensive Mental Health School based Services program.
Participate in team meetings and contribute to effective team development and processes.
Attend all mandatory agency training and in-service processes.
Assume responsibility for professional development, staying abreast of new techniques, community resources and acquiring new skills.
Facilitate training sessions for staff in collaboration with the clinical director and program managers.
Experience and Knowledge Required
Several years of progressive experience working with families and children/youth in a treatment/counseling setting.
Experience developing intervention plans in a school setting and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.
Knowledge of child and youth mental health and evidence informed treatment interventions.
Education and Training Qualifications
M.S.W./B.S.W. or equivalent with several years of related clinical experience.
Registration in good standing with CCPA, Ontario College of OCSWSSW, or CRPO.
Minimum G2 driver’s license.
Certification in CHYMHs assessment or certification obtained within 3 months of hire.
SMG’s Crisis Intervention Training.
