Intent of the Process: Building a Community of Learners

The intent of this recruitment process is to create a list of casual supply workers.

These individuals will play a crucial role in addressing various temporary teaching coverage needs throughout the school year at any of the Six Nations schools.

Streamlining the Process

  1. Stream 1: ED-EST-01 – Teacher
    • Education:
      • Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in education, linguistics, sociology, psychology, mathematics, physics, home economics, or other relevant fields.
    • Occupational Certification:
      • Possession of an acceptable teaching certificate from a province or territory of Canada.
    • Experience:
      • Experience as a teacher or teacher candidate in an elementary private/public school setting.
      • Experience using technology or other assistive devices in the classroom.
    • Knowledge and Abilities:
      • Knowledge of classroom management practices.
      • Knowledge of current trends in curriculum reform in Ontario.
      • Ability to creatively develop and implement short and long-term lesson plans.
  2. Stream 2: EU-TEA-01 – Teacher Aide
    • Education:
      • A secondary school diploma or employer-approved alternatives.
    • Experience:
      • Experience working with elementary school-age children or in a daycare setting.
      • Experience using technology or other assistive devices in the classroom.
    • Knowledge and Abilities:

Language Requirement
